You’ll never guess who was in our shop last month:  quilting rock star Mark Lipinski.  Mark, and his co-host Jodie Davis, came to Connecticut to interview couples who work together in the quilt business for their May episode of “Quilt Out Loud” – their on-line quilt show featured on QNNtv.com.

Mark and Jodie interviewed Wilma and Jim Cogliantry, the long-arm quilters who own

Christian Lane Quilters in Berlin Connecticut, and believe it or not, Lisa and Jim Salonia who own Lisa’s Clover Hill Quilts!  They descended upon our shop one afternoon, completely taking over our classroom so that they could record the majority of the show.  It was an interesting and comical experience to see Mark and Jodie adlib the entire episode as the producer/director, the camera man, and the key grip (the sound guy for those of you who are not in the movie business) were “behind the scenes” stopping and starting the action to achieve enough variety so they could edit it into a seamless production (sort of like piecing a quilt together).  The episode is scheduled to air in May 2012 and can be seen on QNNtv.com.
